"Eric Ryan is a founding member and current Secretary of Cork Whiskey Society. He holds a Master’s Degree in Brewing & Distilling from Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh and received the 2013 University Prize for outstanding merit in independent learning. A previous winner of the IBD Scotch Whisky Association award, Eric is a current member of the Institute of Brewing & Distilling. As an avid Irish whiskey connoisseur and historian, he is a keen collector of vintage Irish whiskeys, has lectured in UCC on Irish whiskey history, contributes regular articles to Irish Whiskey Magazine and plans regular Irish whiskey events in his native city."
